With the rich variety of trees that we have on colstoun, blossom season lasts for almost two months with different trees and areas looking their best at different points I missed the time when both these trees are in blossom but was wondering if anyone had a photo with these two trees blossoming and the coach house in the background?

... is the beautiful Colstoun House - @colstoun
This one holds the title of Scotland's oldest family home and they're proud of their “our house, your home” attitude.
It's just outside Edinburgh, near a wee town called Haddington.
The grounds are spectacular and offer loads of spaces to have your ceremony including the huge lawn behind the house and the walled garden. The Coach House is an ideal spot for your reception with a cracking courtyard next to it if you fancy moving the dance floor outside.

Being in the middle of wedding season we don’t always get a chance to be out in the gardens and grounds enjoying ourselves, but this week we’ve made an effort to go exploring. Our efforts to let nature take its course in a number of spots is really beginning to pay dividends. This year we’ve spotted over a dozen wildflowers that hadn’t been seen in recent years throughout the parkland.
This year (even more than last year) was an absolute explosion of blossom 🌸 over Colstoun’s parkland. Here you can see peak pink blossom exploding over a section of wild meadow.

On Monday 4th May, we open our doors for the first @colstounarts open studio of 2026.
Join resident artist @divbalivada at Colstoun House between 10am and 4pm.
All are welcome to view the art and explore the grounds.
Then leave have turned the most beautiful colours as we’ve seen the last wedding of the year come and go. Now the quiet begins and the slow preparation for 2026 begins.
