Today we bring you another selection of pictures while sharing some special thoughts. Our vision for the events of 2025 was to keep creating spaces where the world of zines, illustration and free self expression could keep thriving and where we could come together more often to create as well. With our series of Drink and Draws this year, where we had the chance to collaborate with wonderful partners, such as during our Market we feel we could reach this vision, together with you. It was wonderful and thrilling to see more than 900 people visiting each day of the market and also the connections made while hanging out and drawing together. Having workshops at our market was also a great opportunity for people to (re) discover themselves and the artists/creativity within. 🗣️Spreading the word 🗣️ ✨Plica VZW is organizing a second edition of our Christmas Market in Gent in December, on the 13th and 14th, put down the dates! ✨ This time it will be at the awesome Industriemuseum in Gent! An open call for artists to participate is to come during September, keep your eyes peeled, we have some extra opportunities coming. 😌🍀 Some of you recognize our flyer from distributing them around Prente Art Market in Knokke the past day 16/08, thank you to the kind people who already showed their enthusiasm or the ones who DMed us asking about a potential event. 🫶🏼 A more official poster will still come. Just like last year, TUIG is organising a (super cool) market during the same days, but no worries, we will do our best to coordinate both events. 🤗 We move forward while we wait for response on our subsidy applications. Any help/support is welcome so if you want to buy some cute stickers with our characters or one of our original prints let us know. Hey everyone! We had such a good time with you at @groenevalleifeest during our Lino Print Workshop (given by @rita_rasto and @colonizingmesoftly ) and we wanted to share some of the moments with you. Thank you so much to everyone who showed up, your energy was so positive and your enthusiasm warmed our hearts and made our experience of a very rainy day feel warmer and cozier. Thank you so much as well to Groene Vallei for inviting us, this event is so wonderful, definitely one to keep visiting! We’re working hard behind the scenes to prepare more things for you this year. The one who understands administration and jumps in for the short notice issues. Zines, prints or graphics? STICKERS! Which work are you most proud of? At the moment, the little olive branch tattoo on my boyfriend’s arm. What’s your fav zine fair moment? At the end of the day when the artists are gifting some things they don’t want to carry back. Once I got a chestnut from this lovely italian designer and I keep it on my desk ever since. What does your dream zine fair look like? Basically any zine fair but everyone is chatting and yet the background noise is non-existent.
