At Collier Webb, every creation begins with a concept, brought to life through the collaboration of our design team and skilled pattern maker. Working together, they take an initial drawing and transform it into a physical form, carefully shaping it from clay, wax, or other materials. It’s a thoughtful, meticulous process where every detail is considered, ensuring that the foundation for each piece is as refined as the finished result.
With the pattern complete, we move to the heart of the workshop: the Foundry. Here, the piece is prepared for casting. If the design calls for Lost Wax casting, our craftspeople begin by "treeing up" - carefully attaching the pattern to channels that will guide molten brass into every fine detail. Each channel is positioned with precision to ensure the design is faithfully replicated. This stage requires patience and expertise, setting the groundwork for the next crucial step in the process.
The final step in the casting process is the pouring of molten brass. With the pattern carefully prepared, the molten brass flows into the mold, filling every intricate detail. As it cools, the brass takes shape, solidifying into the form of the original design. The mold is then broken away, revealing the cast brass piece - a testament to the skill and attention to detail that defines every Collier Webb creation. From here, the piece moves on to our workshop, where it will be perfected, assembled, finished, and wired.

Reflecting on an inspiring evening last week with @woodworksbytedtodd at The Spiral - what a fantastic space!
Surrounded by a wonderful community of designers, makers and creatives, we were delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate on this event to spotlight and celebrate British Craft, with our Mini Portable Lamps illuminating the space throughout the evening.
It was a pleasure to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and share conversations with so many inspiring names from across the industry.
A special thank you to the Woodworks by Ted Todd team and our accompanying co-hosts @calshot_group@drummonds_bathrooms , @jennifermanners , and of course @interiorsacademy , for such a beautifully considered gathering.

A grand country manor setting where contemporary craft meets timeless architecture.
The Frank Table Light brings a quietly sculptural presence to the room, its modernist form defined by clean geometry and a textured, plastered finish that feels both refined and tactile.
Resting effortlessly within the organic tones and layered materials of the space, it offers a soft counterpoint to the grandeur around it - understated, yet deliberately architectural in intent.
Captures as part of a recent @rosemaryhallgarten shoot, the setting celebrated materiality, light and form in perfect balance.

Two new additions to our hardware collection - each a different expression of the same dedication to craft.
The Branch Picture Rail begins in nature: a fallen birch branch discovered in the Sussex countryside, cast in solid brass using the ancient lost wax method, preserving every ridge and curve exactly as found. No finials, no visible hooks - just an uninterrupted sculptural form that becomes part of the composition itself.
The Ramsay Picture Rail System takes a different path - architectural, geometric, precise. Its signature knuckle detail creates a striking rhythm of peaks and ridges that catch the light, extending the established Ramsay family into the world of picture hanging with the same meticulous craftsmanship the collection is known for.
Both handcrafted at our East Sussex foundry. Both designed to change the way you approach displaying art.
