Meet our new(ish) dogter, Honey! After our precious Julie died in August of last year (RIP angel),
@nativenewyorkertours and I had a huge hole in our hearts. We fostered a sweetie, Luna the Shih-poo, for a few months until she got adopted, and then we were ready for a permadog again. Honey was found tied to a pole in some park in Washington Heights with another pittie. She was undernourished and had been used as a breeder mama, they think — just look at the nips. The wonderful rescue group
@everylastonerescue took her in and fostered her. Shout out to Nakia, Nicole and Emily, the best people ever. This supermodel is now 65 lbs of pure cuddles, playfulness, and tanklike strength. She adores people, and all dogs, especially little ones and/or big ones she can wrestle with. Her signature moves are the half-Nelson and sitting on her opponent 😂. Honey is also majorly into disemboweling tennis balls and squeakies. She’s the light of our lives and will gladly give you her paw for a treat. The Chonkalina, the Caramella, Queen Fartoria. When she snores it sounds like a lawnmower. If you’ve been wanting a dog, check out a rescue. So many wonderful dogs need a loving home. Honey would want you to. ❤️💯😘
