If there's one thing the recent local elections taught us, it's that our communities are becoming increasingly more politically divided. PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT!! @coliberateuk x @heardstorytelling ! Coliberate x Heard Storytelling is a partnership that brings together a unique collection of expertise and skill sets that enable communities to not only share their stories, but to reclaim the narrative. The story of this partnership really began in 2021, when Coliberate’s Founder, @thecjowen , attended Heard’s Pride exhibition, a celebration of LGBTQIA+ stories so often left untold, and met Heard Storytelling’s Founder @caz_dyer . It was an immediate recognition of shared conviction: that unheard voices deserve to be centred, not sidelined. Since then, the two have grown alongside each other, collaborating on projects and championing each other’s work. The trust they built was formalised when Christopher joined Heard’s Advisory Board. The Coliberate x Heard Storytelling partnership is the natural next chapter of a relationship built on shared values, genuine friendship and a belief that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to not only overcome ignorance, prejudice and social division but to also create the connection, empathy and care needed to build coliberated communities. Together, Coliberate x Heard Storytelling use the power of storytelling to resist the systems of oppression that create unfair and unsafe cultures, pit communities against one another and limit the rights and freedoms of everyday people. Bridging theory and practice, the two create meaningful opportunities for diverse groups to listen, connect and understand one another, enabling the creation of lasting communities of care that authentically contribute to creating a better world for all. For our first project together, we are proud to be working with @outside_arts_ to deliver a “Queer in the Staffordshire Moorlands” event for the second ever Pride in the Moorlands! Happy coliberativersary! Today marks the one year anniversary of the launch of Coliberate! To celebrate, I'm delighted to share our new visual branding! Created by the phenomenal @_jodifox at @studiozenko , this branding is inspired by the solarpunk subgenre of science fiction. Solarpunk represents an optimistic and sustainable future in which people, planet and technological progress can all coexist together in harmony. To me, this is what a coliberated future looks like - one where issues like systemic inequities and climate breakdown are overcome and we live in caring and resource-abundant communities. This rebrand perfectly captures the mutual flourishing of coliberation, the luminous optimism of solarpunk and the freedom and connection of anti-oppression. Importantly, it shifts coliberation from an abstract idea into something clear, grounded and accessible. It visualises a concrete theory of change, making coliberation more understandable and achievable. A massive thank you to Jodi for this gorgeous rebrand and to everyone who has made Coliberate's first year such a joy and success! This really has been a dream come true, thank you. It has been such a huge joy getting to work with @_jodifox at @studiozenko , who has done a phenomenal job creating a fresh new look for us that represents our hopeful and coliberating ethos. January was a BIG month for Coliberate! • Last year’s success led to our founder being nominated for the @angliaruskin Alumni Award for Entrepreneur of the Year (massive thanks to @indie_guy.jpg for the nomination!) • We led an in-depth cultural transformation strategy workshop with the senior leaders at @strativgroup , identifying both strengths and opportunities to improve their workplace’s equity, diversity and inclusivity. • We’ve been hired for our biggest project yet! We’re so very proud to share that we’re working with @derbyshirewildlifetrust on their strategy, offering support through a large-scale consultative service, a full-day strategy workshop, and liberatory coaching for SIX of their senior leaders. We’re so excited for the transformational change we’ll be making together! • Hate Crime training continues with the staff at the @kingstrust , supporting the wonderful team with understanding the nature of hate and interpersonal violence so that they can best support the young people they work with and help make safer communities for us all. More exciting things are in the works and we cannot wait to share them with you all! Here’s to a new year, next chapters and setting the tone for what’s to come. Happy 2026 everyone!

Happy New Year!! I know, I know. This post is a few days late. But today is my first day back at work for 2026 and I try hard to strike that work/life balance, which means no coliberate insta or marketing while on holiday! But I am so excited to be back and for the year ahead! First, I just want to express my deepest and sincerest thanks to everyone who made 2025 so special. Not only was last year the year I launched this consultancy, it was the year my community really showed up for me, finding and opening so many doors that led me to so many wonderful experiences. I am so very grateful for every testimonial, recommendation, referral and booking - it made a massive difference, thank you! I’ve got some really exciting plans for 2026, I can’t wait to share them with you. In the meantime, I hope this year leads each of you ever closer to our shared coliberation! Nearly 5000 signatures!! Wow, we are absolutely blown away. Thank you to everyone who has supported the #PayYourQueers campaign. We've had to take a step away for the last few weeks while dealing with a serious personal emergency, but it is so great to come back and see all this support! Let's use this momentum to help get our queers paid! The campaign is moving in a slightly new direction, and we're looking for any unpaid freelancers to please join our database! We'll then promote you and your work to local businesses to try to find you paid work! #LinkInBio for more details! Here are the new demands for the campaign: Businesses, organisations and individual allies should support LGBTQ+ artists, freelancers, sole traders, small businesses and staff by: 1. hiring external LGBTQ+ talent, such as speakers, workshop fascilitators, consultants, coaches, artists and performers 2. onboarding LGBTQ+ small businesses as suppliers for both short and long-term operations or events 3. organising staff or personal outings to attend local LGBTQ+ events and fundraisers 4. raise money and donate to fundraisers specifically supporting impacted LGBTQ+ communities Be sure to donate to the Together For Creatives Fund on Crowdfunder and thanks again for all the support!

A huge thank you to @outside_arts_ for having us back to deliver another workshop with the incredible group organising the Staffordshire Moorlands Pride! It was such a privilege to be involved in the last Pride and it was so heartwarming and special to get involved again this year. This is a really lovely group of community members working hard to make a lasting difference for their local towns and villages. Thank you @amyisace for hosting, we absolutely love working directly with on-the-ground communities and this group is especially wonderful.
