Born in the 90s in the suburbs of Paris,
with roots from Oujda, Morocco.
Raised between cultures and sounds
from Oum Kalthoum to Bob Marley,
later diving into the electronic universe of Daft Punk.
A turning point came with The Hacker
opening the door to a darker, rave-driven world
of synths and distorted drum machines.
From there, no looking back.
His journey shaped through the underground
playing iconic spots like La Machine du Moulin Rouge
and Rex Club.
Vinyl at the core.
Early releases pressed to wax,
followed by a stream of projects and collaborations
with artists like Belaria, Herr Krank and Maison Blanche.
Now part of Friendsome Records,
where he also contributes to the artistic direction.
Cogan’s sound hits fast and wide
Detroit and Chicago house roots
blended with funk, rock, electroclash and game energy.

Raw energy. Open hearts. No rules, just movement. First time I’ve seen someone cry tears of joy during one of my sets. That hits deep 🫶
In a world where lines get tighter and people wait to be told, you reminded me that freedom still lives on the floor and you brought my faith back in eclectism, in freedom over rules.
Respect to everyone there for trusting the ride. And to Sisyphos for letting me go deep.

For our second release of the year, we’re proud to introduce French-Moroccan artist Cogan.
The talented DJ, producer, and live performer joins the RTF family with this outstanding EP. Strongly influenced by the sounds of the ‘80s, Cogan blends his old-school inspirations with his own vocals to create something truly unique.
This release also includes remixes by the iconic French duo @cliniquelacuna , who deliver a sultry remix with big snares and fat basslines, and @boudi.dj , one of the most talented Dutch producers right now, who contributes a massive, dancefloor-oriented remix.
