Last Sunday, Ethan's metal band COFGOD @cofgoddoom released their first offering into the world. It's called WHO GOES THERE? and it's a work of staggering talent, hard work, and community play. In fact, it doesn't feel right to call Cofgod just "Ethan's band," because this project has become such a powerful group effort. A couple dozen of our friends and family had a direct hand in making all of this possible, and I'm so thankful to all of them. The three men in this band are not only dedicated and immensely skilled musicians, they are excellent examples of how to be good men in this world. They take care of themselves, their loved ones, and their communities with the same passion that helps them create beautiful art. Cofgod wouldn't be the same without each of their contributions. I'm overjoyed to be co-managing Cofgod with the members of the band and their partners, who are now all among my closest friends. There are so few places in this world where I feel I can be truly myself; with them, I always feel safe. At a Cofgod show, you can be whoever you want to be -- nothing is too weird or too nerdy or too niche. I consider it one of my duties to keep fostering that atmosphere at their shows.
