Saw the live debut of @theprotomen ’s Act III. Here’s some lo-fi shots of it. I gave them to someone who was in line for the meet and greet after to pass them along to the band. I wonder if they got there.
After many hours of work the zine machine is fully operational for printing. It’s all coming together. A visual review of Night of the Living Cover Bands. 18 pages, 101 bands photographed with a 2 page spread for each of the 8 nights and shoutouts to the 6 bands I missed photographing. I’m planning on selling these for 7 dollars a piece with proceeds going towards starting a free monthly zine for Albuquerque’s local music scene with a couple friends. More on that project later. Here are some of my favorite photos I snapped over the 8 nights of Night of the Living Cover Bands 2025 at @launchpadabq in no particular order. They aren’t even necessarily my best shots just my favorites. I snapped almost 2000 photos and printed close to a 1000 over the course of all 8 nights. I’m toying with the idea of making a one shot zine of a sort of visual review of all 8 nights. I don’t think I have it in me to print a full spread of every band like I have in my story highlights, but I’m thinking at least one photo from every band I captured on a 2 page spread per evening. Would you buy a copy of it from me for like 5 or 7 bucks if I made a run of those? Like a 20 page zine featuring 100 bands in about as many photos. Anyways, let me know. Enjoy these highlights!
I’m gonna be playing Queen at Night of the Living Cover Bands on my Gameboy, Saturday October 25th. I’ve had such a blast taking photos of bands each night of this event and I hope you’ve enjoyed the shots I’ve taken too. If you’ve followed my photography (@codihoca ) or my music (@condard ) I hope you can make it to Night 8 for a whole night of awesome bands covering other awesome bands. Looking forward to the final weekend of #NotCLB2025 night 7 and 8 at @launchpadabq (I’ll even still take pictures on the night I’m playing)!
