I’ve been very silly and more or less ignored this account for the better part of a year now but I recently felt the inspiration to revive it so here’s a selection of clips from gigs showing some of what I’ve been up to in the meantime since last posting!
The clips are in reverse chronological order for the most part starting with my most recent gig this past weekend and working back into last fall with a few more random recent ones thrown in at the end.
I tried to focus mainly on my visuals for these clips even though sometimes I was doing double or even triple duty on the lights and sound (and DJing and hosting here and there due to our own party series Muscle Memory) so some of the clips might be a bit janky as it’s hard to film and do lights at the same time. 😅
The visuals themselves are sourced from anywhere and everywhere including archival footage, manipulated stock, home created footage and various generative/animation programs like Blender, Synesthesia and TouchDesigner.
As always I’m incredibly grateful for any and all opportunities to merge my passions for visual art and design, music and connecting with the local art and music scene at large, especially during these strange and chaotic times we live in. :)

Happy to say I’m finally back up and running after being unable to access this account properly for months!
In the new year I’ve been splitting my time more between VJing and straight lighting and music stuff anyways so the non-stop slew of VJ gigs multiple times a weekend for years has run it’s course, for better or for worse.
While part of me misses the energy everyone had in nightlife coming out of the pandemic years I think ultimately things have been more balanced and sustainable lately so that feels good!
Coming up this weekend to kick off the festival season are back to back block parties Disco In The Park(ing lot) followed by the Fruitloop Pride party, both at the Grindstone Theatre and both of which I will be slinging pixels and photons at!
Next weekend I will be doing more of the same at 9910 for @dollhaus.yeg ‘s long awaited Mary Droppinz show so stay tuned for some fresh new viz and here are some random clips from the last couple months in the meantime! 👽🤙
Felt so good to be back in the ol’ booth for our 2023 masquerade ball, yet another classic sold out NYE party down in the books!
Big ups to all the DJs who killed it all night in both rooms as well as a huge thank you to Joses, Byron, and all the incredibly hard working crew involved with @sweatyeg and the Grindstone Theatre for always providing such a welcoming and vibetastic safe space for us to let loose and enjoy ourselves in!

Absolutely class night of music, incredible sets from both Junior Brown and Derrick Carter himself of course, majorly grateful to get to jam to some amazing house DJs and showcase my artwork in a beautiful new venue!
Big thanks to @blairjunior for having me out to do my thing for this one, really special getting to catch another Chicago house legend in the flesh, especially since my partner and I practically hit it off at a Kerri Chandler show so many years ago now. 😅

So it has been a crazy packed couple of weeks for VJing! I played roughly 24 hours worth of visuals (and some lighting) throughout Disco in the Park back at the end of July followed up immediately by the Womp the weekend after with very little downtime in between. 😵💫
That said, it’s also been an amazing time and I’m so incredibly grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been afforded to do my thing up at FoH alongside a ton of other talented artists and technicians this summer. 😤

So I had the incredible opportunity to mix visuals and lighting last Friday for Cozmic Cat, Jessu & Pyka at @grindstonetheatre and the vibes were so good the whole night I couldn’t help but take some new clips. Definitely one of the highest energy nights I’ve experienced there in a while, the DJs all slayed and the crowd was whipped into a frenzy by the end. And for a crowd this big I only got asked sound tech questions twice throughout the entire night which is pretty good! 😛

Some (kinda shiddy) clips from REFLEXIONS ZONE II the other weekend. Excellent party thrown by amazing people in a super cool barebones venue that was super fun to work with. It’s always a huge pleasure to be a part of local grassroots events like this and have the opportunity to do more self-indulgent experimental party visuals. Long live the underground!

Finally recovered enough from NYE weekend to post up some stuff almost a full week later. 😅 We had two smashing back to back parties at the Grindstone, both nights were absolutely wicked and full of excellent tunes and dancers.
