The whole weekend, Homegrown Stories by the
@govandiartsfestival turns the space into something warm and alive: fabric, crochet, photography, made by artists from Govandi who have been quietly building one of Mumbai’s most interesting arts communities.
Saturday afternoon gets physical:
@through_anjali asks who am I really? through movement,
@ruhii_allve brings a woman navigating identity and anxiety to the stage, and
@leahravishing and
@suggiyama hand the whole show over to the audience.
Then
@akhshaygandhi holds a mirror up to modern life in Physical Theatre, before
@deepikasethmusic closes the night with Ghazals, retro Bollywood and 90 minutes that feel like a baithak in the best possible way.
Sunday is bold: Equus read aloud in a room,
@mitali.dhruva back with Circles, and
@codefourtythree closing it out and loud✨
