Weeks posts
Mumbai, image this: You don’t have to cross the city for a banger lineup. You don’t have to plan weeks ahead! You don’t have to choose between concert, play, film, or an exhibition. You just show up. Imagine that joy of discovering something really off-beat. Imagine feeling the strum of a guitar because you are that close to the artist. Imagine walking around an art gallery and suddenly finding yourself in the middle of a dance performance. Imagine going for a casual film screening and never wanting to leave because there’s so much more to discover. Oh, and imagine good food. And drinks. Things you might have never tried but won’t stop having after this month of AltiPalti. 12 days. 4 weekends. From Fort to Malad. From West to East. No “where should we go?” fights. No overwhelming planning. No FOMO — because you’re already there. This is AltiPalti. A festival for people who live in the city, not commute through it. 🎶 Music 🎭 Theatre 🩰 Dance 🎬 Film 🎨 Contemporary Art 📍 Mumbai Your April just got sorted. @somegoodgigs @pankajtakmusic @suggiyama @su_thedancer @vivekmadan @talwar_karan @harkat.studios @ayeshaaggarwall @fulcrumbombay

Week 4 of Visual Arts was truly one for the books ✨ Five exhibitions, five completely different worlds, and somehow each one left us inspired in its own way. From Pooja’s small works of city and the joy of making postcards, to Chandi Ka Ghar by Karan, Keyuri, and Iti, from Choiti’s beautifully curated Ordinary Objects that made us pause and look closer, to the bold conversations around Censored Art, and the vibrant, playful magic of Curryverse by Neko :) So much thought, experimentation, humour, emotion, and care packed into one week. Feeling very grateful to witness so many different artistic voices, processes, and ways of seeing the world. So warm, so versatile, so full of life and honestly just so much fun 💛

It has been one week since Vincent’s death. On that unfortunate day, at his funeral, Theo was so overcome by the acute grief that he simply could not speak. So to make things right, he’s invited loved ones and you (i.e. the audience) , so that he could let you know who his brother really was. As Theo goes through Vincent’s incredible and eventful life, which is often passionate, eccentric, funny and tragic, a projector features his paintings so the audience can experience his journey through his paintings. 📅 SUN, 10 MAY 2026 · 7:30 PM 📍Harkat Studios, Mumbai ⏱ 1 hr 🗣️ English ✨ Drama Tickets on AltShows.com 🎟️

Get your hands dirty. Start your weekend differently. We’re hosting a mural workshop at @thenestalibaug with Jai Ranjit (@artwithzaiu ), a self-taught artist and designer with nearly two decades of experience across fine art, murals, photography, printmaking and writing. Currently a Professor of Practice at Atlas SkillTech University, Jai is also a synaesthetic painter who works with colour and sound to create layered, story-led compositions. This workshop is an introduction to mural design through a hands-on, making-focused approach. You’ll learn how to think about scale, composition and colour, and then paint directly onto the walls at The Nest. Set in the middle of farmland, it’s less about getting it perfect and more about trying something new, working with your hands, and being part of a larger piece that stays on at the space. 🗓️ 23rd May to 24th May 🕰️ Check in at 12:00 PM, Check out at 12:00 PM 🔗 DM us or @artwithzaiu to register

Grateful to every single member of @altipalti_festival for creating such a vibrant and thoughtfully curated celebration of art. A special shoutout to @suggiyama — from curation to execution to performance, Sugandh’s presence could be felt in every corner of the festival, bringing life, energy, and soul to the entire experience. What makes this festival truly stand out is its unique way of celebrating art in a dynamic city like Mumbai — spreading creativity across multiple weekends, diverse venues, and beautifully designed spaces. The seamless management, attention to detail, and dedication of the entire team made it not just an event, but a movement that nurtures artists and connects communities. As an artist, it was incredibly fulfilling not only to participate but to contribute my voice and energy to this inspiring platform. Being part of this festival allowed me to engage with a wider audience, exchange ideas, and celebrate the spirit of art in its many forms. Looking forward to many more such experiences that continue to elevate the artistic landscape. ✨
