Code4Hood's STEAM & Black History Spotlight! πŸš€βœ¨ Black History Month Spotlight: Dr. Mae Jemison βœ¨πŸš€ Mae Jemison made history as the first African American woman to travel to space, proving that brilliance has no limits. A lifelong STEM prodigy, Dr. Jemison entered Stanford University at just 16 years old, later earning her medical degree and serving as a doctor with the Peace Corps in Africa. In 1992, she flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, conducting important scientific experiments while orbiting Earth. Beyond space, Dr. Jemison is an inventor, author, educator, and founder of organizations dedicated to advancing science, technology, and equity around the world. Her legacy continues to inspire generations to dream boldly, break barriers, and reach for the stars. πŸŒπŸ’« Representation matters. Excellence matters.
