Back in Jan we began a piece of work alongside residents & the Neuro Team at @nhshomerton
Over 6 Insight Labs, 32 residents shared their experiences navigating neurological conditions, rehabilitation, diagnosis, identity changes, systems, services, isolation, resilience & hope.
The raw emotion & honesty in the room was something else 🫶🏼
From:
🗣️ “My mind says YES but my body says NO”
🗣️ “We have to be angry to be heard”
🗣️ “Everything changed”
…to conversations about support, identity, work, family, belonging, community & what actually helps people live well 💭
This wasn’t tokenistic.This wasn’t ticking boxes. This was REAL lived experience shaping REAL system conversations 💥
