During Salone del Mobile 2026, The Local Project @cobildconstruction and @signorinotilegallery together hosted an intimate evening in Milan, bringing together a distinguished gathering of architects, designers and creative leaders for an evening of dining and conversation.
Led by editor Millie Thwaites, alongside Nimrod Rotenberg of @cobildlux , and David Compagnino and Danny Young of Signorino Tile Gallery and Wood Cut, the evening welcomed more than 80 esteemed guests in a celebration of design, culture and community, capturing the spirit and sophistication of Milan Design Week.
Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most influential design events, the evening offered a refined forum for thoughtful dialogue, meaningful new connections and the exchange of ideas across the architectural and design community.

In the Norwood residence, Cobild made Signorino’s Calacatta Viola the architectural centrepiece of the home‘s most inhabited space. At the fireplace, a full-height slab panel commands the primary wall of the living room, its fractured white ground broken by deep violet and near-black veining in a geological pattern of extraordinary visual density. The hearth element extends the same stone horizontally, the veining continuing across the transition between planes.
