We want to say thank you again for the awesome response to our two nights of Celebration of Music in Helsinki and the memorable Bodom Night in Espoo. The vibe brought by the crowd was way beyond what we had expected and it led to emotional moments for all of us! It also reminded us of the impact Bodom’s music has had on so many!
As many of you may know, next year will mark 30 years of Bodom’s music. May the celebration continue.

My first post here was about a field trip to France. On the way back, Alexi bought a cassette — yeah, really — an MC from the airport. Yngwie Malmsteen’s Fire And Ice. Literally the one in a picture. I heard that album for the first time somewhere above France. The song Alexi wanted to show me was “Cry No More.”
There was this classical middle part and we were both blown away. I remember just wanting to come back to his seat and hear it again and again. We were maybe 12. That’s when we knew we wanted to play music that good. We wanted to have a band.
It took 15 years and Alexi was celebrated as one of the best guitar players in the world. The best part was that Alexi left Yngwie behind.

Legendaarisen Children Of Bodom -yhtyeen jäsenet juhlistavat helmikuun 26. päivä 2026 yhtyeen musiikkia Helsingin Tavastia-klubilla. A Celebration Of Music -nimeä kantavan iltaman liput tulevat myyntiin 29.10.2025 Tiketti.fi:ssä.
Lavalla nähdään Children Of Bodomin alkuperäiset jäsenet Janne Warman, Henkka Blacksmith, Jaska Raatikainen, Alexander Kuoppala sekä Lost Society -yhtyeestä tuttu, yhtyeen pitkäaikainen ystävä Samy Elbanna.
”Haluamme juhlistaa yhtyeemme elämäntyötä sekä samalla ystävämme ja bändikaverimme Alexin musiikillista perintöä. Keikka soitetaan Children Of Bodomille tärkeällä Tavastia-klubilla - ja samalla vastataan fanien pitkäaikaiseen toiveeseen”, yhtye kommentoi.
Espoossa 1990-luvun alussa perustettu Children of Bodom nousi kansainväliseen suosioon albumeilla Something Wild, Hatebreeder ja Follow the Reaper, ja se tunnettiin teknisestä soitostaan, energisistä live-keikoistaan sekä Laihon virtuoosimaisesta kitaroinnista.
