It’s now been just over a week since Adelaide fringe finished and it feels like a bit of a dream. Huge thanks to
@thecourtyardofcuriosities and
@arthursrtbar for being brilliant, supportive homes for my shows, to
@brityplummer and losnicos for getting Lobe Hunt out to Oz. From the brilliant people I met, the dancing nights and beach days, performing on amazing shows like
@lostcab ,
@naughty cabaret,
@mafia among others, seeing all the fun animals, it was a properly magical time. Winning Best Comedy was the cherry on top of what was already a delicious delicious cake.
Doing a fringe festival is never a straightforward undertaking, there is the financial outlay, the stress of trying to get bums on seats, especially if you’re new to a place, and the marathon nature of it but the friendly support and welcome of the volunteers, FOH and other artists made all the difference. A massive shoutout to
@adlfringe for Fringeworks - a place with free printing, free meals and the most helpful staff a person could ask for. What a resource!
Another special mention to
@caitlin not only for being such a brilliant director and collaborator but also for looking after me so well with soup and love when my throat was daggeringly painful for 3 days. You are an angel. And to
@griffin for making my dream come true of doing the dirty dancing lift for real- it was EPIC. And of course thank you to
@camonclown and
@songboyjeremy for the gift of this song being in my head forever.
Can’t wait for next year.
