When the birth of Jesus brings a Hausa woman and an Igbo man together ❤️ I directed “Almasihu (The Promised)” for the Lagos International Theatre Festival last year (2025). We told the Christmas story in our own "African way," our language, our culture, our reality. Two tribes that don’t always see eye to eye, united by one divine promise. This is what happens when we tell our own stories. L.I.T.F 2026 is almost here... Today, I celebrate more than just my birth, I celebrate purpose, God's divine plan. Born on World Theatre Day, shaped by the stage, refined through study, and sustained by passion, I stand as a true thespian on and off the stage. This is not coincidence; this is alignment. A calling that found me early and continues to define me boldly. Theatre is not just what I do, it is who I am. The stories, the characters, the direction, the creation… they all live within me. Every rehearsal, every performance, every moment under the lights has been a step toward becoming. As I begin another year, I step into deeper purpose, greater expression, and wider impact. I am committed to telling stories that matter, creating work that resonates, and leaving a mark that outlives the applause. Happy Birthday to me, an artist, a storyteller, a force in motion. The stage is mine. 🎭

A week ago today, I crossed from Rehearsal rooms to Research rooms, from Questions to Clarity. M.A Theatre Arts & Film Studies, University of Lagos. CGPA 4.9/5 - Distinction. Best Graduating Student of the Department and Faculty. By the grace of God, this journey demanded discipline, sacrifice, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence. Grateful to God for strength, wisdom, and the becoming. Meanwhile, the work continues. 🎭🎓

“When the gods spoke, we answered…” 🎭✨ Last week will forever stay with me, the nights when The Gods Have Spoken came alive on stage. I was blessed to walk two paths at once: the watchful eyes of the Stage Manager, guiding every heartbeat of the performance, and the spirit of Ifawale, living and breathing within the story. Two days. Four shows. A lifetime of memories. First, I return all glory to God the giver of gifts, grace, and guidance. Every strength, every light, every breath of creativity came from Him. To my beautiful cast, thank you. You were more than performers; you were family. Each rehearsal was filled with humility, laughter, and unshaken commitment. Even our celebrity performers carried no airs, only hearts ready to serve the art. That spirit alone made the production divine. To my Director and Executive Producer, Muyideen Oladapo @lala thank you for seeing me worthy of the task, for trusting me with your vision, and for giving me the space to lead. Your belief strengthened mine. Every sound, every silence, every spotlight all of it spoke of unity, of passion, of the magic that happens when art meets purpose. And when the final curtain fell, I knew the gods had truly spoken… and we had listened. #TheGodsHaveSpoken #Ifawale #StageManager #Opera #Gratitude #TheatreMagic #BlessedBeyondWords
