Specializing in every room of the rave, the duo’s aesthetic practice is devoted to psychedelically affirming and expanding the felt experience of rave potentiality across genres including techno, ambient, progressive, trance, house, experimental, and beyond. Pure Immanence is known for performing and curating ambient for UNTER (2016–2023), their notorious Wednesday night Bossa residency (2015–2020), and appearances at many raves, clubs, and festivals both in New York and abroad, including Merge, Mizz Softee, Nowadays, Basement, Sustain-Release, and WHOLE United Queer Festival. Hailing from the Dominican Republic, En el Limbo weaves between ambient, techno and house to produce moody dance tracks and fragile soundscapes. His recent release Tumorou drew heavily from their interest in dub techno production techniques, which feature heavily in this featured liveset. Our guest has also provided a description of the liveset: Airplanes (live) is a live-set made specifically for Cloudy Skies radio. Weaving ambient soundscapes with thumping dance grooves, Airplanes (live) aims to depict the unstable balance and unrestrained freedom of a flight through the skies.
