Afgelopen dinsdag 25 februari stond Orion Sun (@cloudgem ) in @tolhuistuin . Orion Sun is een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter en producer die bekend staat om haar blend van alternatieve r&b, soul en indie.
Haar zachte stem en dromerige producties weten al jaren menig muziekliefhebber te betoveren. “Ik wil mij niet conformeren, ik wil nooit in een positie raken waarin ik TikTok-muziek maak of iets maak dat mij persoonlijk niet dient.” vertelde de authentieke artiest afgelopen zomer in @papermagazine .
Invloeden van artiesten als Frank Ocean en Erykah Badu sijpelen door haar werk, maar haar geluid is zó uniek dat het moeilijk te omschrijven is: je moet het simpelweg beleven. Dat deden zo’n 550 bezoekers afgelopen week in een strak uitverkocht Tolhuistuin.
Support werd verzorgd door @nastybrian , een artiest die net zo origineel is als Orion Sun zelf: met zijn eigen blend van hiphop en indie weet ook hij zich sterk te onderscheiden.
