Where are we?! We had a fantastic day out yesterday with Divine Media doing some filming for their upcoming documentary project "World War Witches" - which I'm super excited to see, please give that a look.
After the main shots were done we had time to make use of @woodlandphotoshoots stunning bluebell wood for some fantasy shots, keep eyes up for those: I got to see the previews and they're gorgeous.

Ah yes, the GIANT WINGS were not an issue when there was a bucket to be destroyed. Thanks Poppy.
Though I am impressed that she looks at these wings and doesn't mind them.
Observations so far: I need another person on the ground. I need a taller mounting block or to be given the wings once already mounted up. I need better shoes.
I don't want to mount up from the floor because I know I'll wrench the saddle over and I don't find that polite for the horse.
As the harness fixes you into position and means I can't turn, a ton of cues need refining. My body language is completely different because I can't physically shift the way I do without a giant backpack on!

More training with the Wing Rig. I've put a molasses brick down for Poppy because standing her on a marker wasn't working tonight. Poppy isn't unaware of what I'm doing just because she has food.

I really like how this looks: isolating the human on a bar and letting the horse work around you. And it's a good core workout.
I work better with brainteasers and obstacles to unravel, and so does Poppy (and Bandit!). I want to build this into a routine.

Training the rear-up on command has been easier than progressing a lay down or bow down on command. In the latter I am asking Poppy to be very vulnerable, and the bow is a difficult maneuver when your are short-backed and Wide Of Ass. We'll get there.
