I actually did this with Matrix demi permanent color and I love the result. She hadn't colored her hair in over a year. I added some babylights on the previously colored hair to match the pattern of her natural gray ar the root. Most of the highlights you see are the gray hair.
I love coming up with options for gray hair. It's a perfect canvas.

My first creative photoshoot in PA! It was 70s inspired. I asked Jordyn to bring her crocheted creations so we could have unique wardrobe. I wanted to use a few of the wigs I have. Jordyn in that wig was bringing all of the Donna Summer vibes!
I did not do photography for this shoot. Once I met Terrance at @tdphotostudiospa , I felt like the shoot was in great hands. I could concentrate on glam.

Growing up in Chicago this man was so prominent in our lives. He was a warrior. He was constantly on the news. At one point, we lived near the Operation PUSH, his base of operations. And went to school across the street. He visited many local schools. A powerful, powerful orator. Still fighting for justice after Parkinsons diagnosis. How would this country be different if he would have become president in the 80s? President or not, he's part of history.
When I was little I thought Brian Walker, Billie Dee's beloved character in Mahogany, was inspired by Jesse Jackson. Maybe he was. They were both passionate and fine. 😍
