A couple of weeks ago now, I was fortunate enough to visit what is for me, a top 3 wine region in the world, the Mosel Valley. The generosity of folks like Erni Loosen and Christophe at Weingut Willi Schaefer were only matched by the gorgeous, steep slopes and the charm of Bernkastel. You've got to see it to believe it.

I rode an abbreviated coast to coat from England's Lake District to Robin Hood's Cove. It was a perfect few days, the weather defied expectation. The climbing was ceaseless, and the scenery helped sap the pain in the legs. The hospitality, made up of a series of small English inns that serve incredible food and great cask ales made for excellent recovery.

It's been a minute, so I need to catch up. Western Sicily, the weather was mixed but the food and the warmth of the Italians even in that cold and constant rain was as it always is. Palermo, Trapani, Marsala.

3 days. I started dunking myself into the Puget Sound three days ago. It is certainly exhilarating. Today felt the easiest, which was surprising as it was the first choppy day since I started. It's like starting your day on rocket fuel.
