@UniofEastAnglia is at the forefront of climate research and decarbonisation solutions. The renewable energy sector is key to achieving net zero, and offshore wind is the most promising technology for the UK. Our new partnership with @Vattenfall will span several areas of UEA’s research and teaching programme. There will be a particular focus on building the workforce of the future and creating career opportunities linked to the offshore wind industry within the region, as well as furthering public and business engagement to achieve net zero. #ClimateUEA #ClimateofChange #ThinkingWithoutBorders

Go behind the scenes of Prof Steve Waters' BBC Radio 4 drama #SongOfTheReed 📻🦋 ⤵️ Doing for conservation "what the Archers did for farming", Prof Waters' four-part drama stars Sophie Okonedo, Mark Rylance and Zaydun Khalaf, and two UEA graduates - Molly Naylor and Ella Dorman Gajic. The first episode airs at 2pm today. It "tracks the practical work of stemming the global loss of species.” And it poses some crucial questions: How can the arts help us tackle #climatechange and the biodiversity crisis?
