I had the honor of speaking alongside Vice President Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, and SF Mayor Daniel Lurie at the opening ceremony of
@sfclimateweek 2025 🎉
Today, as I celebrate another trip around the sun, I’m reflecting deeply on this surreal moment—a culmination of over five years of hard work my incredible team has put into building
@climate.base from the ground up.
I vividly remember watching
@algore 's film "An Inconvenient Truth" as a kid. Frankly, it left me feeling far more concerned than inspired, because it seemed like there was nothing someone like me could possibly do to make a difference.
But since then, I’ve learned something important:
Climate change is a symptom of a deeper crisis—our profound disconnection from nature, from each other, and from our sense of belonging.
And over the past 5 years, I've discovered that building community isn’t just an antidote to this disconnection—it’s also something I love to do.
@sfclimateweek represents a physical embodiment of our mission at
@climate.base : Building community to accelerate climate solutions.
This year more than 25,000 people participated in over 600 events—connecting activists with entrepreneurs, scientists with indigenous leaders, policymakers with everyday people, and more. And it feels like we're still just getting started.
I’m deeply grateful to my amazing colleagues, my family and friends, our partners, and our global community who’ve made this journey possible. And, of course, a massive thank you to
@algore ,
@speakerpelosi ,
@danielluriesf —and my colleagues
@m0rgancampbell ,
@lylawarren ,
@jesseryanhynes @justin.svg ,
@yassinehamdouni ,
@messyconv @juliantheomoore and so many others for making this magical moment happen.
Thank you all for making this year so special. ❤️
