Teshi’s Fine Hour is a listening session dedicated to hyper-specific genres of music. Each episode features a guest who highlights a moment in popular music history that is often overlooked or underappreciated.
For this session, we are joined by Max Binski, a Berlin-based record collector and producer, to explore avant-garde anime soundtracks that pushed animation music into bold and unexpected territory.
Together, we will look at genre-bending scores that sonically illustrated avant-garde anime, including Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Belladonna of Sadness.

About Max Binski
@cleymoore
Max Binski, also known as Cleymoore, is a Portuguese artist and creative director based in Berlin, working across music, sound design, video, and graphic design. He’s the founder of Pluie/Noir — a label where every release is a dialogue between sound and image, music for the mind as much as the dance floor, which he’s been running since 2012. He also co-manages Rings of Neptune, a former artist agency that has evolved into a collective, record label, and creative agency, alongside its sub-labels Stellar Systems and Feedback Waves.
