meet the fluffy creature from my music video for HUNTER ✨
i made this costume completely from scratch and spent many many months sewing every tiny little fabric stripe onto it by hand.
i wanted it to feel like some strange ancient being from the woods.
something forgotten.
something old.
older than humans.
something otherworldly, but still partly human.
that’s also why you can see the human feet, which honestly makes it even creepier to me and i loooove that about it.
i imagined this creature with large hanging hands, so i made them too and painted them with a traditional folklore inspired pattern. something i remember my mum painting onto furniture (it’s called Bauernschrank).
it was deeply inspired by folklore, folk horror and all the old and odd little stories i grew up with ✨

the beauty of life (but also the scary part) is that everything is always evolving, always growing.
you grow more and more into the person you always wanted to become. you grow more into a life that feels aligned. you grow stronger in your character, in your sense of self, in your capacity to feel deeply and to carry difficult things.
you heal.
and while all of this is happening, you still realise that you are a fluid person.
still changing and still growing.
some parts of you remain restless.
some emotions take a loooot longer to move through.
some wounds hurt stronger and longer than others.
and sometimes one part of you grows faster than the rest and you have to slowly catch up with yourself.
the interesting thing though is that the body always knows first.
and somewhere in between all of that I am learning how to live honestly within this constant state of transformation. 🍃🫶✨

on my to do list was actually posting about my new single, but I started my period today, I am in a lot of pain and my mental health is a little low rn. I know that most of it is hormonal and PMS related, but when you are inside of it, it still feels very real and heavy.
And I think sometimes social media creates this illusion that everybody’s lives are constantly exciting, beautiful and easy. But that’s just not reality. There is at least half of life that is stressful and demanding and filled with fears about the future, fears about whether everything will work out, whether you will have a future at all.
Especially being self employed, being dependent on yourself and working in the arts is just a very insecure life choice. And I am by far not somebody who is naturally extremely risky. I am a Capricorn. I like safety. I like structure. So every once in a while I get really overwhelmed and stressed by the uncertainty of life.
One of the biggest topics in my life has always been basic trust. I actually like the German word “Urvertrauen” better because it describes it more accurately somehow. Due to different things in my past, I never really developed this deep healthy trust in life itself. So whenever life gets more stressful my brain starts spiraling and goes into this weird survival mode where everything suddenly feels catastrophic.
And then PMS amplifies all of it even more. Hahaha
And I am learning more and more about myself and me being on the autism spectrum and that I am just crazy good at masking.
The safer I feel with people, the less I mask. And the less I mask, the more I realise how much of my life was actually shaped by being on the spectrum.
I am genuinely grateful to be at a place in my life now where I feel so comfortable, seen and accepted in who I am that I can actually be myself.
Especially because I felt ‘wrong’ all my life.
And I know I am not alone in this feeling.
I also think sometimes we forget online that behind every picture, every video, every release, every project, there are often years of grief, stress, anxiety and frustration and moments where people genuinely feel like they can’t do this anymore.
