7 years ago I founded @cleanthisbeachup on the belief that if one person can make a difference, collective effort can change the world. šŸ„¹šŸ’™ Today we celebrate what started as an idea and turned into a movement 🌊 122,000 lbs of trash removed from our shorelines and over 12,000 volunteers inspired. This journey is proof that individual action does matter, and when a community comes together, the impact is unstoppable. To my incredible crew: thank you for your passion, your grit, and for always going the extra mile. To every single volunteer who has ever shown up, gotten their hands dirty, and believed in this mission— this is YOUR impact, YOUR win. And to our sponsors and corporate partners, thank you for believing in us and helping make all of this possible. We’ve shown up. We’ve showed off. We’ve Cleaned This Beach Up. 🌊 We are the wave of change. #CleanThisBeachUp #beachcleanup #oceanconservation #earthdayeveryday #miamilife

Over 100,000 marine mammals die every year due to plastic pollution. šŸ’”šŸ„ŗ • This is not the first time we see manatee ingesting plastic along with its meal in Biscayne Bay 🄺 This is heart breaking and frustrating!!! We need clean water for all!!!! Our wildlife deserves better than this 😤@cityofmiami @miamibeachnews @mayordlc @mayorofmiami @mayordangelber @savethereef @fwcresearch . . . . #savebiscaynebay #cleanthisbeachup #cleanthisbeachupmiami #manatee #manatees #seacow #cleanwaterforall #plastickills #saveouroceans #styrofoam #salvemoselplaneta #plasticocean #plasticpollution #oceanlife #takeactionnow #climatejustice #environmentaljustice

Earth Day, Every Day šŸŒŽšŸ’™ It’s easy to celebrate today… but the truth is, our planet needs us every single day. We wake up each day breathing air filtered by forests, eating food grown from the land, and living thanks to oceans that produce much of the oxygen we rely on. Nature isn’t something separate from us—it’s what sustains every part of our lives. And yet, nature is something we so often take for granted. If there’s no planet, there’s no us. If there’s no green, there’s no blue. Let today be more than a day to post cute pictures of you in nature. Do something that gives back: Plant a tree. Show up to a beach cleanup. Support ocean conservation. Learn how your daily choices impact the planet. Because real change doesn’t come from one day, it comes from all of us, showing up, over and over again. šŸŒŠšŸ©µšŸ’š #earthday2026 #earthdayeveryday #natureisart #oceanconservation #wildlife

Part 3 of Biscayne National Park Trashy Finds 🚮 @biscaynenps Out here, trash doesn’t just sit… it ages. Decades of sun, salt, and storms have turned discarded plastics so brittle they crumble at the touch breaking them down into microplastics we can’t even see. We found the usual suspects: single-use plastics, broken pieces of boats, tangled fishing gear, and hundreds of flip flops washed deep into the island. 🌊 DM if you want to join us at BNP and follow for part 4. ā„¹ļø Biscayne National Park Beach Cleanup #oceanconservation #beachcleanup #plasticpollution #biscaynenationalpark #miami

Small Actions. Big Waves 🌊 @bradyhunterfoundation Huge thank you to the Brady Hunter Foundation for stepping up and adopting Sandspur Island in partnership with Oleta River State Park 🌿🌊 We were proud to team up and help bring this initiative to life by organizing and running 4 island cleanups and together, we removed an incredible 1,814 lbs of litter with the help of 74 volunteers šŸ™Œ This is what real impact looks like: strong partnerships, shared purpose, and action for our oceans.šŸ’™ Let’s keep showing up for our planet one cleanup at a time. 🫶 #beachcleanup #plasticpollution #oceanconservation #miamilife #kayaking

Trap Line Throwdown 2026 šŸŖ¢šŸ”„ Since the beginning of BNP cleanup season (Dec–April), Biscayne National Park has removed over 20 miles of trap line… But THIS week? 5 crews teamed up with @biscaynenps and pulled 18.6 miles in ONE DAY!!! That’s 4,390 lbs of discarded fishing gear— gone. No longer choking mangroves. No longer threatening wildlife. Huge shoutout to everyone who showed up and put in the work šŸ’Ŗ And to our badass crew… y’all really held it DOWN in the chaos at Old Rhodes šŸ‘ 3 more cleanups to before the end of the season! DM to join, but remember!!! These cleanups are not for the faint of heart. #beachcleanup #oceanconservation #miami #biscaynenationalpark #plasticpollution

THE OCEAN IS LIFE 🩵 It gives us over half the oxygen we breathe, regulates our climate, feeds billions of people, and holds some of the most incredible biodiversity on Earth… yet we treat it like it’s a limitless, indestructible resource, rather than a finite and vulnerable asset. We’ve already lost around half of our coral reefs due to warming waters, pollution, overfishing, and coastal development. Sharks and rays are declining worldwide, plastics are everywhere and ecosystems that took thousands of years to build are disappearing rapidly. But here’s the part that matters: we are not powerless. The ocean doesn’t need a few people doing sustainability perfectly… it needs millions of us doing it imperfectly, but consistently. April is Earth Month šŸŒ a reminder that protecting our planet starts with protecting our ocean. Let’s learn, care, and take action together. #oceanconservation #earthmonth #earthday #ocean #wildlife
