Chrome Hill & Dōjō “Free Rangers”(CF685CD)
Coming out today as the penultimate Clean Feed release, we call it a long day of 25 years operating in the field of creative music related to Jazz. What a better way to farewell than saving for last a posthumous record of trumpet maestro Sei Miguel (to come out in May) and our favorite futuristic psychedelic free jazz cowboys Chrome Hill? For the second time, they meet up for record with the infectious Japanese duo Dōjō. Thanks guys for the superlative work of art, it’s been a pleasure. #cleanfeedrecords #farewell #improvisedmusic #jazz #cleanfeed25
Today Clean Feed turns 25 years of age. On March 16th, 2001 we started this great adventure. Never thought we would release almost 800 records of original music or that I would have so much fun. We built this label thanks to the amazing musicians we were lucky enough to have on our roster. They made out Clean Feed as it is. Thanks to them all. This round anniversary year is also the year where we will release our final opus. The very final act is dedicated to Sei Miguel, the great trumpet player and arranger. Wherever he is I hope he feels somehow proud about this even if he wouldn’t like Clean Feed to be over. #cleanfeedrecords #jazz #improvisedmusic #cleanfeed25 #madeinlisbon
We are very pleased with the response to this campaign and very proud to see you enjoying the records from our sub-labels!
Take advantage of these incredible prices until February 15th.

The great Sei Miguel left us this morning. He lived the way he wanted to live and died the way he wanted to die when he knew the end was near. He was an absolute artist, the bigger one I ever met. His importance as a musician, arranger, conceptualist, his wide knowledge of different art forms, his commitment to everything he did is beyond words. He might be the person I learned more from. A total privilege for me to walk this world at the same time he did. May you rest in peace Sei and thanks for everything you left behind. You’ll be missed so much.

Implacável como a floresta tropical, fértil como o alúvio, MOVE é o conceito e a música do baixista Felipe Zenícola (New Brazilian Funk, Chinese Cookie Poets), do saxofonista Yedo Gibson (Eke, Naked Wolf, Fish Wool) e do baterista João Valinho (Rodrigo Amado Refraction Quartet, Fashion Eternal, Anthropic Neglect).
