Exhibition « Waggle Dance » Following her inclusion in the 2024 group exhibition « Une Chambre à soi » @claudiakeep returns to the Galerie Richard Rogers with a poignant new body of work. Conceived as records of an ever-changing world, the paintings in « Waggle Dance » are imbued with an acute awareness of the fragile timelines facing many species today. While her depictions of bees, flowers, and insects capture the luminous beauty of the present, their delicate nature points toward deeper ecological questions.

Thank you to Eva Baron and My Modern Met for the thoughtful review of Claudia Keep: 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, on view at Parker Gallery in Los Angeles through May 30th. Read more via the link in our bio. “Several canvases unfold within vehicles, with the artist filtering lush, seemingly tropical landscapes through car windows that are splattered with rain. Night drive in the rain captures this effect best, offering an expressive and highly-textured portrait of oncoming headlights abstracted by dots of rain. It’s an incredibly familiar scene, one that most viewers can resonate with and embody. That sensation is enhanced by Keep’s mastery over perspective, which is typically eye-level, as if encouraging us to experience the world through someone else’s point of view.” –Eva Baron @claudiakeep @parker.gallery #claudiakeep

We are pleased to announce the opening of Claudia Keep: Waggle Dance at Chateau La Coste. Following her inclusion in the 2024 group exhibition “Une Chambre à Soi,” Keep returns with a solo exhibition and poignant new body of work. Conceived as records of an ever-changing world, the paintings in “Waggle Dance” are imbued with an acute awareness of the fragile timelines facing many species today. While her depictions of bees, flowers, and insects capture the luminous beauty of the present, their delicate nature points toward deeper ecological questions. On view at the Galerie Richard Rogers from 26 April 2026 to 21 June 2026. From the artist: The movements and form of the honey bee’s “waggle dance” demonstrates a remarkably resonant desire to share and communicate through an expressive medium. Honey bees use a “dance” in a figure eight formation to communicate to their hive what they have seen in the outside world; the location of resources, the distance of resources from the hive, or the presence of danger. These variable environmental factors are communicated by different dance movements; an especially rich food source will be indicated by a more rapid wiggling motion, for example. These dances are not always exacting and bees have slightly different ways of dancing depending on how they learned the waggle dance. In these instances, the dance becomes more individual and impressionistic than scientific, reminding me of my own experience marking a surface with color to create a signifying image. @chateaulacoste @marchforwardmarch @marguo__ @parker.gallery @claudiakeep #claudiakeep

Perpetual gas leaks, ‘40s jazz, and the ghost of the landlord’s mother haunt the apartment described in ‘Nelly’, a new short story by Mariana Enriquez (@marianaenriquez1973 ), featured in Apartamento magazine issue #36. Set in Argentina in 2002, around the time of the infamous financial crisis, the narrator details the collapse of an entire economy through their tumultuous stay in a once-seductive, now-decaying Buenos Aires apartment. Written exclusively for issue #36, this ghost story was translated by renowned literary translator Megan McDowell (@meganamcdowell ) and features original illustrations by Claudia Keep (@claudiakeep ).
