Meet the 2025 Filmmakers:
RORY HANRAHAN & CLARA FITZGERALD (The Last Word, Ireland) North America Premiere ✨
RORY HANRAHAN is a writer/director based in Dublin. After graduating from NYU’s prestigious Film program he worked as a cinematographer on several award-winning short films. Rory works as a commercial director in the US and Ireland, while continuing to write offbeat, personal drama and dark comedy scripts. Rory’s short film, Wife of the Future, won the James Flynn Award for Best First Short at the Galway Film Fleadh 2024. Wife of the Future was written and directed by Rory, and stars Philippa Dunne. His screenplay Parasites was shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. Rory is currently developing a TV series called Man With Van and feature script Your Mum.
CLARA FITZGERALD is a Dublin based actor. She is relatively new to the medium of film as she only took up acting in 2022. The Last Word is the first short she has written and produced. Clara is repped as an actor by Sovran Carey.

💚 Carolyn is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting, Bow Street Academy for screen acting, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music’s Access Programme, graduating with a distinction in vocal studies.
Previous theatre work includes Inside the GPO (Fishamble: The New Play Company) and Sweet Sensations (Teri Fitzgerald). Film and TV work includes Hope Street (BBC/Longstory TV); The Vanishing Triangle (Virgin Media TV/Park Films); Valhalla (MGM); As Luck Would Have It (Hallmark); Moonhaven (AMC Network); and Taken Down (RTÉ).
🩵 Kenneth is a graduate of ICFE Theatre Performance. Previous film, TV and theatre work includes The 3:30 at Cheltenham (Gúna Nua); Mauer 61 (DU Players); Extra Ordinary (Mind’s Eye Theatre Company); Sucking Dublin (Freshly Ground Theatre); Kin (RTÉ/Bron Studios); Brother (David Gilna Productions); It Goes On (Quiet Road Pictures); Nymph (IADT); and Hamster (IADT).

Foyle is Northern Ireland’s only Oscar and BAFTA accredited film festival so we feel very grateful to be included in the line up. The festival runs from 19-30 November.
