It’s been really quiet on this channel for a long time, and it took me quite a while to fully understand why. Peak Time Techno had been the sound I loved the most for years, both as a DJ and in my private listening, but over the last two years that sound somehow just became less interesting to me on a personal level.
You could clearly see that in my listening habits, as they shifted almost completely away from Peak Time and much more toward genres like Drum & Bass, Ambient, Breakbeat, and Indie.
Because of that, I also felt way less motivated to produce music. It often felt like I was trying to match a sound that I didn’t feel emotionally connected to and authentic with anymore. At the same time, I started finding much more fulfillment in my work as a medical doctor than I previously did as a DJ, so my drive for live performances and producing went away.
After all these realizations, I came to the conclusion that the focus should be on the joy of creating, not on meeting expectations tied to a sound you don’t genuinely enjoy anymore, since I’m not planning to pursue music as my main career anyway. Especially considering how the scene has developed over the past few years, moving more and more toward self-promotion on social media and further away from what actually matters: MUSIC ITSELF.
That’s why I’m really happy to have finally finished a new track after what feels like forever. It’s a bit slower and more melodic, and hopefully it will be released within the next few months. It’s also very possible that at some point I’ll put out something completely different like Breakbeat or Ambient.
I’m also very excited to be back behind the decks at @raum.sh in Kiel on March 28. This time not on the Peak Time floor, but on the Indie Dance floor.

Ein Track wie eine verschwitzte Umarmung um fünf Uhr früh, ein letzter Ravekuss 😮💨
Mit WAAGENBAU verabschiedeten wir uns von einem Club, der für uns nicht einfach nur ein Ort war – sondern ein Wohnzimmer und ein Treffpunkt.
Wir haben den Waagenbau nicht nur bespielt, sondern teilweise gelebt. Im Studio sowie auf dem Däääncefloor.
Dieser Track ist unser Versuch, den alten Waagenbau-Sound noch einmal aufleben zu lassen – roh, energetisch, treibend. Aus Liebe zum Gewölbe. Unser kleines Danke an einen großen Laden.
Mit diesem Release verabschieden wir uns von einem Ort, der uns geformt hat – mit fetter Kickdrum, bröckelndem Bass und einer Prise melancholischer Reverb-Zauberei.

Shapes & Colors was created in one of the most inspiring hubs in Hamburg, a space where many renowned producers, work on the music you listen to.
The track is more than just a collaboration, it’s a strong reflection of the sound we aim to create. This track combines melodic elements with minimalistic vibes, capturing the essence of duality—simplicity and complexity in perfect harmony.
The vocal creation process was heavily influenced by modern technology.
Using innovative artificial intelligence driven techniques, we transformed raw lyrics, written and recorded by Clap Codex on his phone, into something extraordinary.
The original vocal was replaced with an AI-generated voice, allowing us to explore new textures and expressions.
With layers of effects and manipulation, the vocal became an integral part of the track, blending a human and robotic touch.
We produced this track with cubase in carbons studio, a space that sounds even better than you‘d imagine.
It was inspiring to watch us in our element while we sent sounds and stems from Ableton, to add our influences to this track.

Thank you to everyone who listened to and supported my music this year! Unfortunately, I didn’t achieve nearly as much musically as I had hoped for, as two significant events greatly impacted the amount of time I was able to spend on music production:
1. In January, I started working full-time as a medical doctor. It honestly took me several months to get used to all the stress and lack of free time.
2. In March, I had a skiing injury that resulted in multiple torn ligaments, which required a lot of focus and energy for rehab over a long period. Even right now, the rehab process is still ongoing.
This whole situation meant that music had to take a back seat, and there were even weeks or months when I didn’t produce anything at all.
Regardless of that, I am infinitely grateful for the over 1.5 million listeners and more than 5 million streams that came together this year! Thankfully, things are slowly getting better, and I’m regaining more energy and time, so hopefully, I’ll be able to share some new bangers with you in 2025.

This has been my first gig after having knee surgery in March, I‘m still a long way from being fully recovered sadly, ACL/MCL injuries take close to a year of rehab to get back to fully functioning. My collab with @d72official is out now on @armadamusic 😍
D72 and I got to know each other when he reached out to me one day and suggested a collab, as he saw great potential in mixing our styles. Since I was already familiar with and really liked his music, it was a no-brainer. He then sent me this brilliant, trance-inspired break idea alongside his trademark acid line, to which I added all the rhythmic elements and stabs, so the end product was finished after just a few sessions.
The track has already seen early support by @arminvanbuuren and @rubenderonde , has been added to Beatport‘s Best New Techno selection and entered the main peak time top 100 charts at #76 today ❤️
