this exceptionally well crafted record has no shortage of massive riffs, propelled by a thundering rhythm section and harrowing vocals. however, “Plague Doctor” has a sinister and downright nasty nature that catapults it high above their counterparts in the genre. nothing left in its wake.

Distorted, lush warmth permeates through these three tracks. Personally I think PF is quite a leap forward for Mutual, finding and solidifying their groove in a 90’s indie rock/shoegaze amalgam.
Might have ripped off Lifehouse’s “Hanging by a Moment” at one point.

Wild that we’re already one release away from double digits in the catalogue. Really do appreciate the support so far.
Anyway… CT’s inception was the Mutual LP over three years ago and I dunno, it’s about damn time we put out something new right?
These tracks capture the essence of the Mutual live set. Washes of distorted guitars and a hard driving rhythm section tied together with reverb-laden vocals- taking cues from 90’s shoegaze/indie rock.
This run will be on lavender tapes out of 50 and will feature a cassette only bonus track. Tapes will be available on July 25th- if you’re in Las Vegas come out to the release show that night at the Griffin starting at 6:30pm. See ya then 🤝

Kendall has quite the grip of releases under the Blessu moniker- becoming one of the most prolific producers/songwriters in the Las Vegas electronic scene. It’s a pleasure to do his first physical release, can’t wait for this one.
The Purple Tape will be out late next month on, you already know, purple tapes out of 25.

out today is CT007: Past Self- Die Cry Hate EP
Past Self has become a marquis act in the Vegas scene, and personally one of my favorites here in town.
The three piece has carefully chiseled a mix of post punk, goth and shoegaze they call K-goth; with lyrics in both Korean and English. Their latest EP “Die Cry Hate” is dense with dark, lush instrumentation and vocals, a new and exciting force in the dark music lexicon.
All aspects of the release were completed within the band; keyboardist æther designed both the digital and physical art, with bassist/producer spektor handling mix and mastering.
Probably the biggest one yet for us here at CT- this run will start with 50 transparent red cassettes, with more coming.

Homegrown Clam Tapes project… low-end heavy take on some minimal house, some techno and vaporwave influence in there as well. Strung together with samples from some of my favorite YouTube vids. Good tape to burn one to, probably.

Simply put, few songwriters anywhere have impressed me as much as Nate has time and again.
Headlamp straddles a line between indie and folk rock, rife with poignant lyrics and rich instrumentation provided by a choice ensemble of Reno musicians.
And to accompany such a well constructed, prolific album is a wonderful j-card and foldout insert design by the immensely talented @summer.eorr .
