Pathways Forward: Culture, Creativity and the Future of First Nations Fashion โจ
This week, First Nations designers from across the continent will gather on Gadigal Country, Sydney for an important moment of learning, visibility and cultural exchange as part of the IFP Pathways Program immersion at Australian Fashion Week.
A future grounded in culture.
A future led by First Nations voices.
A future already taking shape.
Have a read on the IFP Journal (link in our bio) and follow along on our stories for updates behind the scenes with the IFP team and designers throughout the week.
Shout out to the wonderful @sofiteldarlingharbour for hosting us!

The ever so beautiful @hari.wears wearing Clairโs Saltwater woman piece at PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival โจ
This two-piece is crafted from reclaimed off-cut silks breathing new life into forgotten fabrics. Each improvised ruffle was intuitively hand-drawn and shaped, allowing the garment to sit organically, just like the tides of saltwater Country.
Finished with delicate glass beading details that catch the light like sun dancing on the ocean, this piece is a story of resilience, renewal, and connection to saltwater roots. Softly unravelled edges, like tide-worn shorelines.
Saltwater Woman carries memory, strength, and softness in the same breath reflecting the spirit of the woman who wears it. ๐๐๐ฉท
Hand sewing. Pattern making. Storytelling.
This is not just clothing itโs time, care and years of dedication to the craft.
Winning this award felt like confirmation that the work matters.
These are only snippets of our year.
So grateful for the love and support behind this small business ๐ค There are some exciting things planned for the new year โจ
