Today marks day 747 of running
@rennframes .
I believe in working on one project every day for a very long time. Boundaries fade and you begin to blend in with the very thing you are desperately trying to bring to life. In the pursuit, the project becomes you and you inevitably become the project. One cannot exist without the other.
In those slightly more than two years, I had the pleasure to meet and continuously surround myself with the most amazing, competent people around the world. Dreamers, visionaries, leaders, directors, creatives – many becoming friends, some even brothers and sisters. I started all of this due to the simple feeling that I owed car culture a lot.
All my best friends, places I visited and adventures I took – all tracing back to the community of automotive enthusiasm. In hindsight, this approach got me closer to many people I respected from afar over the past years. A lovely paradox.
I also believe in work ethic. I have seen people start and quit, and have failed myself in numerous acts. I stumbled finding my style, the very aesthetic I craved but couldn’t define.
But I continued. Probably because there has always been this motivation bigger than my own desire. A north star, beckoning at the horizon, filling me with a strange feeling of confidence and delusion – an addictive combination. You cannot see the path, but somehow sense the direction.
Suddenly, the goal is no longer about accomplishment. The path becomes all there is. The pursuit of „passion“, a word that refers to the latin term „pasi“, meaning suffering. In the end, to follow one’s passion comes down to choosing what it is worth suffering for.
I believe I found this very thing.
20 slides can never do justice for all the moments of the past 12 months, but still here is a collection of some of my favourites.
„I thank God every day that I’m crazy.
I thank God every day that I’m alive and aware.“
