Tune in at 12pm to listen to interview made by former Revolution Rock hosts Adam & Dave with Montreal illustrator, author, and artist Raymond Biesinger, who has a new book out called "9 Times My Work Has Been Ripped Off on Drawn & Quarterly". His work has appeared in The New Yorker, GQ, The Guardian, WIRED, The Walrus and The New York Times (to name a few). Biesinger also co-authored and provided illustrations for the 2022 national best selling book, "305 Lost Buildings of Canada". They talk about the process of his new book, what inspired it, navigating the art world, the ongoing threat of AI and more. There will also be a few now hard to find tracks from his two piece garage/noise duo The Famines.

Last week, SUUNS, an experimental band based in Montreal with a unique mix of rock influences made an appearance at Windsor’s very own Meteor along with local opener Bog Moss to bring the audience a captivating and ecclectic performance. With their moody yet energetic atmosphere, SUUNS played an awesome show that truly showcased the group’s talent and certainty in who they are as a band. Overall, a very pleasant concert experience, and CJAM can’t wait to see them back in town Swipe to end to see Bog Moss’ opening act!

November’s a gloomy rough patch between Halloween and the winter break. Less with Moore is a brand new show coming out during our Pledge Drive week for anyone who’s feeling down, pissed, nostalgic, and especially lonely right now. If there’s one thing music should be good for, it’s letting us know we’re never going through it alone. Check it out tonight from 11 pm until midnight on CJAM.CA or 99.1 FM on the dial

Introducing CJAM's new Station Manager: You may know Lix as CJAM's Program Director but she is ready to enter the next chapter of CJAM with you all as Station Manager. She plans on bringing you more events, volunteer meet-ups, a big fun Pledge, merch collabs, updates to our website and to spread the good word of CJAM on and off air! Lix is specifically interested in expanding partnerships with other grassroots arts and culture organizations, organizing more workshops and packing our airwaves and station with as much local talent as possible. Off air Lix can be found Bobbin around shaded streets, visiting local galleries or grooving to techno in Detroit. Come say hi!

Join us for an online chat this Friday, August 2, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, about the confluence between inspiration, transformation, and copyrights in arts and music. If artists are influenced by what they see and originality can be tricky to define, how can we understand the function of copyright laws? With the help of our speakers, we intend to raise awareness of this topic and bring light to the resources available to help guide indie artists in protecting their work. Sign up in the link in bio! This workshop is free thanks to the CJAM Innovation Fund, created by donor and CJAM Alumni Karl Mamer. If you like our work, please donate to us through the link in our bio.
