Our next album is surfacing from the depths. BENEATH. With great excitement we commemorate this new offering with a special live performance. On May 21st, we will sail the Detroit River aboard the Macassa Bay, a boat chartered by Windsor Premiere Cruises. There will be live performances from Bog Moss, as well as angular rockers Brainrust and ambient emo-gazers Meandergreen. We will board at 6pm and leave the dock at 7pm. Our route takes us east toward Belle Isle, west along the skyline to a view of the Gordie Howe Bridge, returning at 10pm. We’re excited to announce Brainrust Lite to the 2025 Higher Ground Festival! Brainrust Lite is the partial lineup of a four-piece rock band from Windsor, Ontario, who will be performing as a two piece for this festival. Crafting emotionally charged exploratory music which blends elements of experimental, alternative and post-hardcore traditions. Formed in 2022 from the merging of two long-running solo projects, Brainrust began as an outlet for songs written as far back as 2016. Founding members James Brown (guitar / vocals) and Kyle Marchand (guitar/vocals) brought their collaborative energy into a full-band dynamic with Colin Wysman (bass) and Adam D’Andrea (drums), solidifying a lineup combining dynamic musicianship with a reflective edge. Their sound can be described as a cosmic gumbo: equal parts shellac, polvo, and pavement, stirred together with contemporary acts like Wand, and Thee Oh Sees. Wearing their influences proudly, Brainrust delivers something at once familiar yet refreshingly new. Here’s our next in-person concert show. We’re excited to share an evening with friends and hopefully make some new ones. There’s no shortage of esteemed colleagues to join us on such a night and this time around it’ll be @olinda.inc and @bogmossband , two of Windsor’s finest. We’re also excited because our set will be mostly new material and Lord knows we’re all sick of the old shit. The poster was created by the ineffable @itsbennieallain - talented fellow and old buddy of mine. This event will take place at Phog; that being whatever incarnation it is in at the time.
