This weekend, we come together to celebrate the life of Mazzy and everything he loved. Join us for a Showcase & Candlelight Vigil on Saturday, where we'll bring out the bikes, cars, trucks, and jetskis that brought him so much joy, followed by a candlelight vigil in his honor. On Sunday, the jetski community will take to the water for a ride out to Rum Point. All are welcome. Let's celebrate him together.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Michael “Mazzy” McLaughlin from Team Mazzy Motorsports. Mazzy was a well-known and respected member of the community, recognized for his exceptional jet ski mechanic skills and his genuine passion for the sport. While Team Mazzy Motorsports was new to the race scene this season, Mazzy’s presence and contributions have been felt for many years. On behalf of CIWA, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and team during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by the entire racing community.

At CIWA, safety remains our highest priority, and we continue to uphold strict protocols to ensure the well-being of all riders, staff, and spectators at our events. During Round 1 of the 2026 National Tour on Sunday, March 22, there was a minor accident in which one of the riders sustained minor injuries and was promptly attended to on-site. As a precaution, he was transported for further evaluation and has since been released. We are pleased to share that the rider is doing well, and we look forward to seeing him back on the track soon. We extend our sincere thanks to the Cayman Islands Fire Service, EMS, everyone who provided assistance, and our CIWA safety marshals for their swift and professional response.
