Keeping our city clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone! 🌟
The Oxnard City Corps Townkeeping Program is at work each week providing maintenance to public spaces throughout the city, including bus stops, alleyways, and other community areas. This stop was in South Oxnard! 🚌 The program gives local youth work experience while helping keep our city clean. 🧼
While some hit pause… our youth hit BUILD 💪
From rebuilding our pizza oven🧱 to leaving our mark on the Moon Ditch Mural 🖌️🎨 (yes… the LONGEST mural in California!), our youth showed up and put in work.
A week full of learning, creating, and hands-on experiences.

Great things happen when passionate people come together. The Oxnard City Corps and Cultural Arts teams shared their talents to the Moon Ditch Project, helping paint a mural that brightens the space and reflects the spirit of our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate and the hard work and dedication of our youth and staff!
The 3rd Annual Egg-ccessible Eggstravaganza was an egg-cellent success! 🐣🎉
Thank you to all the amazing families who came out and enjoyed this FREE community event. From 6 exciting rounds of egg hunts to bounce houses, bunny photo ops, a petting zoo, face painting, yard games, bubble zones, and rides on the City Corps Wagon Train, there was fun around every corner! 🚂✨
We loved celebrating with you all and can’t wait to see you again next year! 💛
📚✨ Big Buddy Little Buddy in action! Our Blackstock JHS students spent the afternoon reading with first graders from Hathaway at the South Branch Library, sharing picture books, building leadership skills, and spreading a love of reading. After story time, the group headed to the SOC Youth Center, where PAL staff hosted a colorful sand‑art activity to wrap up a fantastic visit.
Moments like these remind us how powerful mentorship can be, one book, one buddy at a time.
