Hello Sinners. It has been incredibly difficult for me to write this. Last week, San Jose has lost one Baaaad MotherFucker. Uncle Dave has been a downtown staple since time began. Like a mythical creature, he'd wander from dive bar to dive bar (a majority of which, he's outlasted) beating everyone at pool and giving anyone who'd listen pieces of wisdom he's acquired over the years. Uncle Dave has drilled many a new generation he encounters with his Dave-isms. Little phrases that seemed to get stuck in your head once it's there ie Stop. Look. And listen. Bullshit ain't nothing but chewed up grass. Checkin' ain't cheatin'. He was there for many a person's formative bar years. He was even there for the very first Circus of Sin. And he loved each and every show that he's attended. The weirder the better. He was incredibly supportive of our show in his ways. When we're alone from time to time, he would tell me how great the show is and how I have an "it" factor. I appreciate his support. And now it's gone. I'll miss it. I'll miss him. He was a one of a kind person. In his immortal words "It's not what you do, it's how you do it," we will strive to keep having the best shows ever. Thank you for your existence Uncle Dave. We will miss you. -KP
