Sometimes being a founder looks like sleepless nights, a drained bank account, and an endlessly long to do list, other times it looks like…THIS!
I started food writing in 2012, and diabetes made an unwelcome appearance in my life a few years later. But, it ultimately led me to meet people who encouraged me to use my skills and provide a safe space for people wanting to fine-tune their nutrition, and take small steps to have diabetes management work for them, and not the other way around.
I envision a future where every person, regardless of income or background, has the knowledge, confidence, and resources to prevent and manage diabetes effectively.
@glucoseguideapp strives to close the gap between clinical recommendations and real-world application by fostering equity in nutrition access, promoting self-efficacy, and supporting community-based prevention and management.
And the reason we can do it?
@circleapp . Our community is custom built, hosts it’s nutrition tools like the diabetes food journal, and allows members to have our pocket diabetes assistant at their fingertips.
Without my community, this idea might not ever have come to life. Without Circle, it definitely wouldn’t have.
Having our community on several billboards in Times Square is a dream. Ultimately, we want everyone living with diabetes to know they have a caring place for nutrition and habit change support, for whatever price fits where they are in life right now.
You don’t have to do diabetes alone, and
@glucoseguideapp is here for you because of a platform like
