I always wished I had more time to make new things but then I look at everything I did… it makes sense why I had no time. I think that’s why I really value workshops to push me to learn and try new things during a dedicated time. Cheers to the new year 🥂

My test tiles from glaze mixing class with @art.elaide.fv ⭐️ feeling more confident and inspired in glazing 😎 it was fun playing with colorants and different fluxes in a line blend. I also tried out a crystalline glaze which I learned requires a special firing. The test tiles look like a kaleidoscope!!! I also tried a slip based (fake ash) glaze (?) which I really like the depth of :)

“Boba Cheeks” hamster and “Zoomer on the Scooter” pup are now showing at @giantrobotstore ! These were inspired by my trip to Taiwan back in January. I had a cup of boba 🧋 everyday and saw all the locals commuting via scooters 🛴.

Some dogs also like to make biscuits :) this one is trying to make ceramic biscuits. Little pup is from the anagama firing! There’s two little dots from ash on the back of his ears ☺️

I just love how wood firing accentuates teapots 🔥 🫖 The teapot is still pretty matte but there are sides that look shimmery. I’m learning that I like the look of shino drizzled or brushed on. All my lids are very loose. Will need to work on that for future teapots :)

Little woodfired pup going on a stroll 🐾 from the February anagama firing! Danish white clay with some shino drizzled on top. Some orange spots peeped out when I was sanding and cleaning it up.
