On the trainee database you can do your own diligence; check their skill levels, who signed them off on each skill, check their work history, where they are based and easily contact them within the app or get their details from the CV they have uploaded. We have loads of trainees signed up to the app and you have access to all of their profiles! It really is a one stop shop for quality crew. π₯π
We had a blast at BSC this year and we hope you all did to! We wondered around catching up with some of our supporters and talking shop. Here are some of the best bits of our chat with the good folks @fujifilmuk
It's full steam ahead at CineCertified, we are developing the 2nd AC/Clapper Loader logbook as we speak. We want to hear from 2nd ACs, 1st ACs, operators, DOPs and even trainees on what you would like to see structured and how progression should be recognised in the role of a 2nd AC. The learning never stops in our industry but responsibility and expectation rise with each role. So have your say, fill out our survey (in our bio) and be a part of the growth of our department!
We are so glad to have @filmsat59 join our community and support what we are doing! They've just hosted one of our first aid courses, so are already taking an active role in improving safety on set for crew in Bristol. There are so many talented crew in Bristol and we are stoked to supported by filmsat59!

We were invited to the Houses of Parliament to discuss how more can be done to support the UKβs freelance crew community.
The conversation centred on the challenges we're all facing - from access to training and health & safety, to consistent learning pathways across departments and grades - and how real change has to come from working together as a community, not in silos. From within not from the outside.
This wasnβt about one organisation, but about bringing voices across the industry together to help strengthen training, support progression, and improve access for crew across the whole country.
Better training. Better crew. As one community.
