this song is about listening to your inner knowing, breaking from the restraints and projections of patriarchy while stumbling over new and internalized ones along the way —
“tied up by patriarchal dreams
bounded by being painted perfectly
milky bust and a half-smile
hands crossed like they’ll never harm or pleasure”
I am elated to announce that I composed the original score and theme song for ‘Small Prophets’, a new BBC series directed by Mackenzie Crook (Detectorists). This show is human, funny, magical, and full of heart. Collaborating with Mackenzie felt like a comfy and exciting meeting of the minds and I can hardly still believe this all happened except that it airs on Monday Feb 9th on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. It will be available in the US in the future, and you’ll hear the theme song and more about it all in the coming days. #smallprophets

What We Dreamed of Then Original Score is out!!
Featuring beautiful fiddle performances and arrangements by Amelia Baker (Cinder Well). This special collaboration was made possible with support from the Chris Dedrick Music Fund. Together we achieved a sound that thoughtfully reflects the often unseen reality of hidden homelessness.
Very special thank you to @coremusicagency@screencomposers@taylorcpolson@thesandyhunter 🙏
