When I started thinking about this new project 6 months ago I thought it would just be me and the guitar, but it became a much more collective effort so we will be releasing it under a new name to reflect this. We start life as Glasgow School in @kingtutsofficial on the 17th of March supporting @thestunningband and then will be releasing our first EP titled "New Broadside Ballads" on March 27th.
Massive thank you to everyone tagged for their contributions.
We’re only a few weeks away from St Paddy’s Day so we should probably tell you what’s happening eh? 🇮🇪
We’re kicking off a bit early on the 11th with another Vicar Street Social gig, this time with Grooveline, Lupercalia and Teragroove on the bill.
The weekend starts proper on the Friday with our own Bosco DJing in the bar while W2, the immense U2 tribute we book every year now, are back in the venue.
Saturday sees a trad session followed by a live set from The Lines in the venue, while Devlin and our own patron saint, DJ Nicky himself play in the bar. There’s some GAA on as well with Dublin v Armagh and Kerry v Mayo.
Sunday, there’s another GAA double, with Louth v Derry and Monaghan v Galway, as well as a trad set and the mega Paddy’s Merch Market in the back. And of course, no weekend in here can end without the Let’s Go Back crew in for their Sunday Soundclash Rave, this time with special guest DJ Mango.
If that wasn’t enough for ye, the actual day of St Paddy’s will be the same as it ever was, with another banging pre and post-party for Stiff Little Fingers’ annual show at the Barras with the bold Vinny on the decks.
Ooft. Maybe time to start thinking about taking the Monday off, eh? 🥴
And yes, we do celebrate St Andrew’s Day as well. Every year. You’d know that if you actually cared and came down. Try harder. 😘

Lá Fhéile Pádraig is happening in McChuills from Wednesday March 11th to Tuesday March 17th. Some things are ticketed, most are free.
