Nana…” are powerful vocables that you hear in many cultures but in Georgia, you seem to always find them in lullabies. 🐣 This audio is from our rehearsal… Loving the blend of trombone and voice in this arrangement of a traditional lullaby from Samegrelo, a western province in Georgia. Loving this whole band!! And don’t worry, with this group of smackingly groovy musicians, we won’t put you to sleep. “October Sigh” (آه اُکتبر) Vocal & Setar: @shahriarsiavash Double Bass: @christopherusius Mix & Mastering: SM records من و کریس «آه اُکتبر» را، که ملودی اصلی آن بر اساس قطعه «افسوس» از استاد کیوان ساکت است، ابتدا به صورت بی کلام تنظیم کردیم. اما حس می‌کردم اضافه کردن کلام می‌تواند عمق احساسی قطعه را بیشتر کند. همان‌جا بود که حضرت مولانا مرا فرا خواند و کلام او زینت بخش موسیقی شد. منتظر زمان مناسبی برای انتشار این پروژه بودم، و چه زمانی بهتر از شب یلدا یلدایتان مبارک❤️ When Chris and I first arranged “October Sigh”, whose melody is based on Keivan Saket’s “Alas”, it was purely instrumental. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that adding words would intensify its emotional depth. That’s when Rumi called upon me, and what you hear came to be. I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to release this project, and what better time than wishing fall farewell on Yalda Night, the ancient Persian celebration of the longest night of the year.
