📢 FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT: LEMONADE 🍋 - @lemonbucketorkestra ’s signature two-night party featuring the rowdiest of LBO offshoots AND (drumroll please 🥁) Grammy-winners @theklezmatics return to Toronto 🤟 📍 Parkdale Hall 📅 October 3 & 4 (in less than 2 weeks!!) Hailing from New York’s East Village and celebrating their 40th anniversary, THE KLEZMATICS are the only klezmer band ever to win a Grammy Award. For decades, they’ve revolutionized Jewish music, blending Yiddish tradition with global rhythms, punk energy, and bold social justice themes. They’ve collaborated with legends like @itzhakperlmanofficial , @folkslinger , @chavaalberstein , and @tonyakimbo , and their explosive live shows are known for turning cultural history into dance-floor ecstasy. Now, for the first time in years, The Klezmatics return to Toronto for a one-night-only performance on October 4 — bringing fan favorites and exclusive premieres from their new album, We Were Made for These Times. To match the moment, LBO has stacked the weekend with the wildest acts from their extended musical family — each a contender for Toronto’s best party band. 🔥 Friday, October 3: @moskittobar – border-crossing Balkan/Middle Eastern groove @bigsmokebrass – street-brass bangers & party anthems @youarefaf – psycho prog-jazz chaos @littlerambunctious – improv mayhem and dance-floor freedom 🌟 Saturday, October 4 (co-presented by @rootsandchordsmusic and @ashkenazfest ) @theklezmatics – revolutionary klezmer legends, live in Toronto @lemonbucketorkestra – folk-punk warriors of the street @torontoklezmersociety – open klezmer jam to close the night 🎟 LEMONBUCKET.COM Don’t sleep on this one. Two nights. One historic return. #livemusic #festival #torontomusicscene #torontomusic #brassband #klezmer #ukrainian #gypsypunk

Summer in Toronto is supposedly over, here’s my favourite memory On 14 August I witnessed this crazy party that started as a cute community picnic at Christie Pits Park with live music (the focus of this video) and kept expanding into a carnival/circus/parade on the streets. Shout out to the mad dreamers who organized this all in secret without any official approval or grants, in a nice little conspiracy. Lots of musicians in this, if you know them, share with them so they can enjoy the memories too. Shoutout to @rudyraykwaku @moskittobar @shout_theband @dromartistcollective etc #toronto #torontolife #livemusic #brassband #trombone #tuba #trumpet #saxophone #flute #accordian #summer #summerinthecity #torontosummer #christiepitspark

Moskitto Bar - new band on Mayday Music. In May I was invited on a trip to Toronto attending @estonianmusicweek and a new conference part called Nordic Connect Conference. The idea was to build a collaboration between musicians, festivals, venues and agents in the Nordic Countries, The Baltic Countries and Canada. We had a fantastic week, where I made a lot of new friends, and especially one Toronto based band blew us all away - @moskittobar . A wonderful, energetic and inspiring collaboration of musicians from all parts of the world, that can set any stage on fire, with their musicals skills and their raw energy. I want this band to be experienced in Denmark, and I want to use them to test our new international collaboration between Baltic and Nordic Festivals and venues, to see if we can become better at exchanging great music between our countries. Moskitto BAR are open for European festivals in the summer of 2026 + a 2 week DK tour from sept. 28 - October 11 2026. Check out the band via link in bio.

Come on by again to experience the beauty and glory of community, music, dance, art and togetherness. The streets are for people! Here’s a snippet from our forthcoming community magazine about “Craving”, documenting some of the madness from last years’ vintage. 📸: @ngcamillee ✍🏽: @sheedles24
