My sun, my moon
Youāre always too late
And never too soon
Over this past weekend, I lassoed this eight foot moon for @tellmeitsshelby ās short film āBright Nightsā. Very fittingly, the period of time I made it happened to fall on the full moon and the shoot was while the moon was in cancer (where it wants to be) š! It was wild but fun to stay up all night shooting this piece with the crew, and I'm looking forward to seeing the resulting vision! Iām thankful to @boorennan for capturing process pictures and helping with the mortar and paint application.
I KNOW NIGO pop up from the perspective of the @minnefex shop! With the most intensive process, the sculptures feature hand carving, a hard urethane coating, bondo, high build primer, and custom paint jobs. Another highlight is the skate ramp, made with pho brick to emulate the NYC Brooklyn Banks.

Around the time I graduated from art school, I thought that Production Design would be an incredible career choice, but I had no idea how to pursue that path. Fate allowed me an opportunity to do just that for Mike Nelsonās segments of V/H/S 85, āNo Wake/Ambrosia.ā I was also happily and unexpectedly cast as āCousin Christopherā in āAmbrosia.ā What an incredible trip!
This was without a doubt one of my all time favorite projects. Artistic collaboration was happening at the highest level in every department, I learned so much about filmmaking, and I left there with lasting friends who I hope to continue to connect with and/or work with long into the future.

a couple weeks ago I did another lil tour of Washington - from hanging at LāArche with lovely company, to hiking the Northern Cascades with friends, to camping on the coast, to rounding the Olympics and scaling Mt. Storm King, to climbing the Burroughs of Mt. Rainier, seeing it from multiple vantage points, and catching a skiddish goat!

Weāre extremely excited about this release, for as many of you know, it has taken awhile to get to this place in our music production process. We believe that we achieved something that resonates, and hope it does the same for you.
āIce Worldā was born during a studio visit in 2017 with @micromegaphone , who played the main guitar chords as we toyed around with a drum machine that he brought along. From there the rest of the track snowballed, with the bass line then the main vocal melody.
