AAVS-KOREA: Encoded Heritage is partnering with Hongik University @hcau_official / @hongik_university this summer for a 12 day intensive research and and design programme that investigates experimental preservation within Korea’s rapidly transforming urban environments. Positioned between heritage discourse, digital practice, and urban theory, the programme critically examines how 20th-century architectural artifacts are continuously reinterpreted, neglected, or erased under conditions of redevelopment, densification, and socio-economic pressure. Within the umbrella of the AA Visting School @aavisiting_school , the course will be directed and taught by current AA Unit Masters, Sho Ito / @studio__ito & Jisoo Hwang / @jisoo_hwang_ who co-leads @aa_inter_17 together with Tae Hyuk Kim / @fakeprintshop who teaches at Hongik School of Architecture.
