Closed the book (maybe) on touring this year about a week ago. Easily the best year on the road I’ve ever had. All the gratitude in the world to the Aldean touring team. Especially @juniorreddog and @lowlytroubadour for all the hard work to make sure my transition into the FOH role was as easy as possible.

Early year end post. Here we go:
Between filling in at FOH for the extremely talented @cale_conrad with @judahandthelion and touring with the incredible @fiveforfightingmusic I’ve also been filling time with mix projects and trying to finally finish this room. Have to say, it’s been an incredible year of learning and growing. Looking forward to mixing in this room and spending time in my other comfort place, in front of a PA, behind a desk.
Now for the nerdy part. This room and the @pmcspeakers_pro 8-2’s sounds incredible! Most of it has been trial and error, but with the help of some incredibly smart friends, I think it’s turned out great! The entire front wall is a giant bass trap behind the diffuser wall, and a 16x14 suspended cloud structure which also acts as a bass trap as well as a full range trap.
Also, the @dangerfoxinc desk is on wheels, so it can slide out of the way for tour console prep and mix build! If you want more details, hit me up!
Probably the most fun rig I’ve had out on tour before. @digico.official nailed it with the Quantum series. The addition of Mustard Processing has taken the consoles to the next level.
The outboard rack has some inserts, as well as an @sslaudio Sigma for summing. @antelope_audio Galaxy 32 handling the conversion as well as the interface into an M1 MacMini running @live.professor for mostly FX and some plug-in processing.
@wavesaudio Q-Rec acting as my interface into a separate MacMini handling multitrack record into Repear with the @eclipserecord skin, as well as @rationalacoustics Smaart input and output.
All in all, it’s an absolute blast to mix on. Thanks to @fiveforfightingmusic and @sethddaniel for the call.

The Fillmore in Denver was a hell of a way to end 5 and a half years with the RD team. Excited for new opportunities and new adventures. Excited to see what 2023 holds.
Got to share a special moment with my dad this weekend. Father and son sharing FOH and Monitor duty at the church I grew up in.
I remember working at this church as a young audio engineer, always dreaming what it would be like to be a touring engineer. What a full circle moment, and to share it with the man who has given so much of himself to see me succeed in so many aspects of life. I’ll never forget this moment. Thanks dad, for everything. It’s a debt I’ll never be able to repay.

the Government is ignoring the financial plight of crew and suppliers such as these:
the enabling forces behind Live Aid, Live 8, the Diamond Jubilee Concert, the London 2012 Olympics Ceremonies and other milestone events that put the 'Great' into Great Britain.
Without the Government's immediate intervention, Events of this magnitude will become a thing of the past.
