I am an Olympian!! P8 in singles and P11 in dual moguls—I am beyond thrilled with my performance here in front of an electric crowd full of Aussie fans. Thank you to everyone who supported me in Livigno and from afar—I felt all the love and I am eternally grateful ❤️🔥
While the significance of this experience is still sinking in, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude to have had this opportunity to compete on the greatest stage in sport. I’ve never felt more Australian than in the moment I put on this jacket and bib for the first time last week. I owe a massive thank you to so many people, the first of whom are my parents and sister. Then there are my coaches and teammates, the support staff, physios and medical team, sponsors, and the sport programs who make it possible to achieve greatness. Thank you to my friends as well for being my inspiration everyday!
I encountered some speed bumps along the way, as does everyone, and I appreciate the people who reached out a hand to get me back on my feet. Self belief is an incredible force, but to have others around you to stoke the fire is what makes anything possible.
Congratulations to my teammates for our outstanding success at these Games—I am so proud to stand beside you and weather the storm of life and competition together! No one has an easy path to this point, and I have an even greater understanding now of the profoundness of chasing something unattainable with the goal of self-improvement. The job is never over, but I think we’ve earned some time to celebrate!
Time for a little break with my family before we get back to work. Still searching for more words but for now I’ll say thank you one more time!
